Academy Class (3/10) MOVED

Hibiki was late, and he knew it. He ran down the hallway towards his classroom, his hakama swooshing with each thump thomp of his feet hitting the floor. His mind was racing with the many possible embarrassing scenarios that might unfold when he entered the classroom; would there be no seats left and he would have to sit on the floor in the front of the room? Would he trip on the way to his seat? Would the sensei yell at him for his tardiness? As that last thought went through is head he realized there was a red headed girl, about his age, standing with her hands behind her head getting slowly closer as he plodded along. Great! he thought, I’m not the only one late. This thought put a smile on his face, which gave him a cherub-like look due to his “freckled” birthmark across his nose and the rosy cheeks from his run. Before he ran over the girl he slowed down to a walk, brushing his hakama pleats back into place and pulling his hoodie on, since it had jostled during his sprint. As he walked behind the girl he unconsciously eyed her up and down, not even noticing enough to question why he had done it.
“Is this the cla…?” he began to ask until his eyes caught view of what could only be his sensei, a sobering realization dropped his smile and replaced it with a look of shock. Now fully aware that he was not only late, but interrupting a conversation between his sensei and the girl, his shock went to embarrassment and then he quickly composed himself while trying not to appear unaware of his mistake.
“I’m sorry” he said to the girl and then to his sensei “I believe I am late…”

"is this the cla..." Naruko heard the boy ask. She looked at him with curiosity of the sound, but not wanting to turn her attention from her sensai she very slightly glanced at him. *Same thing I asked.* she thought to herself. Naruko slightly snickered at his mistake before turning to her sensai. "Im sorry" the boy said before turning to her sensei. "I beleive I am late" he stated. "Don't worry I am to" Naruko said in reply before turning to face the boy completely. She smiled at him to show her gratitude of the pleasure of not being embarrassed. She knew she wasn't but she didn't want him to think so.

Kazuya starred in thought, Maybe I should have done a roll call... he thought as he looked at the two of them, and then over to Kizo for a moment. He then returned his attention to the tardies, and cocked his head to the side a bit.

"Please try to be on time for class tomorrow you two." he said simply and then frowned somewhat when realizing his questions towards Naruko had gone unanswered, the girl looked to be lost in thought for a moment and that had made Kazuya somewhat curious, in any case he took a calm breath to repeat himself.

"Todays lesson was of self awareness, tell me you two, what does being a shinobi mean to you?" he asked, and blew the rest of the air in his lungs out his nose in a sort of sighs. Kazuya began waiting on a reply before reaching up and rubbing his nose tiredly, he still had other stuff to do for now.

Kazuya let the hand fall yet again and continued to stare to await an answer from each of them, and took the chance to take in the appearance of the boy.

Why did I have to be late! Hibiki asked himself as he looked from his sensei to the girl standing next to him and then back to his sensei. At his 4’10” Hibiki was slightly smaller than the girl standing to his right and he was becoming acutely aware of it now that he was standing so close to her. This fact made him mentally look himself up and down in an attempt to build up his self-confidence that had diminished a little with his recent tardiness. He could feel the sandal on his right foot was still there, but his prosthetic didn’t give him the same benefit so he quickly and inconspicuously as possible pushed the left side of his hakama back till he could see the gray tabi sock on his prosthetic and the thong of his sandal sticking between the false toes. His gray hakama thankfully hadn’t picked up any stains on his run to the class room and his pleats looked as perfect as the day he had received them, a thought that caused him to grin slightly. As he brought his left hand up from his hakama he lightly brushed it across his obi and up the small tanto sticking out of it, Check he unconsciously thought to himself.

Now that he had wasted a sufficient number of seconds his eyes rolled up to the right side of his face and he cocked his head to the left what does being a shinobi mean to me? Again not even realizing it until it had happened, his hands went into the side pockets of his gray bubble-print hoodie, which made him think of the clan symbol on his back.

Hibiki widely grinned, almost mischievously, as the answer came to him. The grin along with his slightly flushed cheeks and 'freckle' (bubble-pattern) birthmark across his nose made him have a cherub appearance. The light that speckled his eyes only added to the effect as the irises opened and closed to adjust, making it appear as if his eyes were an ocean of waves. He knew his answer was going to be good, his father had once talked to him about this subject while they were doing the necessary chore of slaughtering chickens for supper, now if only he could remember exactly what his father had said.

“My father told me that being a shinobi means giving of yourself for something greater, it means loyalty, sacrifice, and hope…” Pleased with himself he couldn’t help but smile. That doesn’t really answer the question he noticed, what does being a shinobi mean to ME.

“…I think…I think it means being the best I can be and protecting my family and village…yes, that’s what I think” With that he looked for approval in his sensei’s eyes and then turned his attention to the girl…did she say her name?…I can’t remember…woops

Usagi stares at th sensei from the corner and finally awnsers him

My name is Usagi Shibichi I am here to become the strongest ninja possible. That is my only purpose. While Usagi states this he sizes up his class mates to see there abilitys. He noticed that the sensei seemed to be a very powerful ninja. he then sits back down. He thinks about how much training it will take to surpas him.

(OOC: Ima move this topic you guys, recently the structure of the academy has changed, so we will restart the teaching as my lessons have changed and whatnot)

Kizo walks in loopy and in pajamas. " S-Sory Sensei... " Plops down with teddybear next to Naruko-san and ver-San. " I have been really sick and the main household of the Hyuuga would not let me leave or go out. They said I had the flu and I had to go to the doctor several times... but I snuke away. I am ready to train Sensei! " Looks around " Oh.. More students? "

Reori walked into the classroom. He saw a tall man standing there, his desk said he was Kazuya Hyuuga. Reori ran up to the man and asked"Am I in the right class"? Reori waited and waited then said" i don't know what class i am supposed to be in" The man(who must be the sensei) stared at him awkwardly. The sensei then said" What is your name boy"? Reori replied" My name is Reori Senpi, and i am here to learn"! The man then chuckled. "A little eager i see". Reori stood there queitly. Aw man i forgot to bow Reori thought. Reori then bowed. " Am i invited to join the class" Reori asked. Kazuya then stared and laughed. "Am I"?
