PostSubject: Jiyuu / Senzo Sandbox Fight   Fri Dec 13, 2013 4:39 am

Senzo is promoted to SS rank for this fight.

As per request he has:

Enduring Body - SS Rank
Quick Footed - 30% Speed Increase
Summoning Technique - B Rank
Blood of the Pack - 30% Strength Vs
Spirit of the Pack - 12% per Stack x3
Grand Chakra - 30% Larger Chakra Pool
Flawless Reactions - 30% Reaction Speed
1st Gate
2st Gate
1st Tail Bijuu Mastery (?)

Any jutsu that he has the spec for, he may use assuming it's not clan or some such. And assuming it's either already approved and in the encyclopedia, or reasonable enough. (which will need to be written out.)

Senzo has the 1 tailed as written out which gives me speed, strength, endurance, and increased healing abilities, to help further balance us out.

Jiyuu will stay as is, using only what she already has.

I agree to these terms. (Senzo may add more he wants etc.) I will re agree in that event.

I agree to these terms.

This aught to be interesting, to say the least.

Jiyuu walked down the road. She was by herself for now. She had left her horse and wagon with a caravan she had been traveling with. Everything not nailed down was stored in a summon scroll, a deterrent against theft. But she didn't fear loosing the horse. She knew the route they were taking, and she could run amazingly fast for amazingly long periods of time. And that meant catching up to the caravan would be pretty easy for her. But she had heard words of ruins not too greatly far, and had headed off in search of them by herself. The reason for going solo was simple, it might be dangerous, and in this landscape they were exposed, likely easy targets for bandits and the like. Such ilk plagued the roads sometimes. But she had not been the caravan's only guard, they should be fine.

Other lotus members who had ninja skills were also members of that caravan. Jiyuu put her favored flute to her lips and began to play. The flute quickly issued it's music. She played without hiding it, neither quiet nor over loud. Jiyuu stood a total of 5 feet 8 inches tall. She was wearing her signature armor as always. red metallic parts and the leather parts as well. Her feet and lower legs were protected by leather in the back and metal on the front. The armor even had a kneecap guard. The leather lightened in color, becoming the color of her skin at the top, making the tops of her thighs look more exposed than they actualy were. On her hip was an odd armored skirt. dark greyish leather and red metal for enhanced protection. Above that was an armored dark grey belt, onto which several red utility pouches were added. Her stomach adn chest was protected by segmented armor, painted the same dull red as the rest of her gear. Coming from that was dark grey leather which covered the top of her chest and arms. Several studs on her upper arm served no real purpose. Her forearms and the back of her hands were protected by more dull red metal. The reason for the dull colors was to prevent bright things reflecting from the armor.

Her hair was straight in the front and top, but flared up in the back. Into which a little surprise was well hidden. Her red face mask was pulled down so she could play her flute, exposing her face. But the temperature was nice, so there was little worry about that. It was mid day, just barely after noon, and a partially cloudy sky prevented seeing the moon, which could be seen for short segments of time when a cloud moved. The clouds spoke of rain likely coming in the next day or two. But the landscape here was full of rivers, rain wasn't uncommon here, and it was well planned for. The musing coming from Jiyuu's flute spoke of simple things. She played the sound of the wind caressing her face. Then the music morphed into what felt like wind turning a leaf. She played things as she saw and felt them, not actual songs. She had the habbit of trying to pin down things and feelings with music. But, being a harsh critic, she often could spend an entire day trying to perfectly catch with sound, the feeling of the sun warming her face. For now, she walked along the road playing her flute.

The noon-day sun shone brightly in the sky overhead, lighting up the countryside that spanned out for miles in all directions. The temperature was pleasant for long journeys, and the smell the wind brought was refreshing and invigorating. While the trip on foot took time, the surroundings made such a thing rather enjoyable. It came as no surprise that Senzo enjoyed this trip, taking pleasure in the silence that engulfed his being as he travelled the hillsides in search of his mark. It wasn't uncommon for him to take on assignments dealing with bandits, even if the pay wasn't top quality, as it gave him a chance to break out of his usual routine of training or standard missions. He got to see new places, explore forgotten locales, and continue to test his combat skills in actual battle.

Stretching his arms, Senzo sighed with relief as he stopped to adjust his Oath momentarily, then took a quick scan of his surroundings before continuing. As he went onward, trying to find the last known location of the bandits, he began to catch something floating along the winds that brought him such warm feelings. A melody, played by the wind as it danced among the land, singing of the earth's stories. As he lost himself in the music, his ears perked up and alerted him to a noted difference. While the wind's music was beautiful, what was intermingled with such tones was that of human craft, some kind of instrument played by someone mimicking the interest the breeze had for it's travel.

......

Cocking his head back, he lifted his nose to the air and took a deeper breath, ignoring the pleasant odor of the wind itself for what it brought with it. Sure enough, he could smell another nearby, causing his body to tense up. Exhaling and turning towards the faint sounds of the wind's partner, he flexed his fingers and tried to relax his body.

.....

With his muscles calmed, and the strange song in his ear, Senzo's path diverted from his mission with curious determination.

Jiyuu's music played on as her lips caressed the mouthpiece of the flute. She began trying to play "wind blowing my hair" A gentle warm melody, which recalled the feeling as the wind came and renewed the feeling. The land, she had to admit, was great. Every element possible was there. The rocky hills resembling dunes in a desert. The grass covering it all, the winding river, largely placid. The breeze added wind and fresh air to the area. The only elements that had no representation were lightning and fire. Perhaps some overhead clouds could bring that element. However they didn't even seem to bring rain, let alone lightning. And that was all to the better perhaps. Fire, well, this area wasn't largely forested, nor was it dry. Fire would find no home here.

Jiyuu smiled against the flute as the wind blew her hair, adding to her dong. But then she detected chakra. Being a sensory ninja, she had an incredably wide range. she could detect chakra up to two miles away. She had noted the charkra before, and noted it's strength, but it seemed like it's course had changed, it was now coming towards her. The chakra was powerful, it must belong to someone of kage level, if not beyond. Jiyuu didn't falter, but kept up her music. She switched tunes, playing "two strangers meet." A cautious, slightly ominous tune that grew steadily more cheerful as she resolved to be happy. The tune fluid, no burrs in the music.

Jiyuu saw the person in the distance now. She made no attempt to hurry her progress, and again changed tune, attempting to play "friendly greeting" but throwing in a little caution into the mix. One could clearly tell Jiyuu's mood by her playing. But then again, a person could easily hide their mood, and play the opposite of what they felt. But it was then that Cinder, or rather, that was her name for him, raised his head and spoke. "There is another near you. Another bijuu...hmm...A Jinchuuriki. Wonder what it's doing here. Anyway, let's get this over with I don't feel like a fight." But Jiyuu, being the master of the Lotus Brotherhood, had to investigate this matter. They were after wild Bijuu first, but she could not allow other Jinchuuriki unless certain it's powers were not going to be abused, and certain the Jinchuuriki had control over it. She would not allow a bijuu to act through their jinchuuriki and take control. It would cause chaos. This bore investigation at least.

As Senzo continued on his new path, he kept his ears sharp for the second song that the breeze carried. His only clue at this time, he had to be sure not to lose track of it, when its tune became clear. Specifically, the wind and the second melody became two separate entities, one singing of the grasslands while the other of conversation. "Such a strange way to look at nature," he mused to himself as he continued forward, confident on the music's trail. As his path stayed true, he soon found the source of the second song ahead of him, if a single red fish in a sea of green waters. Pausing for a moment's thought, Senzo returned to his previous step.

....

Ignoring the thoughts of a meal, Senzo returned his focus to this strange wind weaver and began to sniff the air cautiously. The tunes kept up a conversation, of which he caught only a glimpse of what they spoke, but they were far from any war ballade or call to arms. The scent, he found, to be that of many things akin to his own scent. Dust, from travel, and sweat from the body keeping itself regulated. He also could smell metal, a sharp smell that he was also familiar with, and the faintest hint of other things he thought best not to guess at, but he knew this wasn't a normal person.

...

Shaking the sights that the scent would draw from his mind, he flexed his fingers once more before relaxing his arms and letting himself breath deeply. Once he got a good look at the minstrel, an armored woman with an air of strength around her, he decided he could be first to break the vocal silence between them.

"Hello traveller. I didn't expect to meet many others out here," he called out to the stranger, curious and cautious thoughts flitting through his mind.

..

The sun poked out from the clouds, illuminating the scene still further. Jiyuu kept up her music, walking towards the person, playing music of calm conversation. But it was then that another breeze came flowing into her face, and she switched tunes via a morphing of the song, so that she was playing "the wind making patterns of the flowing grass." Jiyuu, being a nature worshiper, rarely missed such sights, it drew her attention immediately. Regardless she kept playing as she walked towards him, watching both the flowing grass and this other person. She wasn't the kind to ignore someone with that much power. Let alone another Jinchuuriki. One hand flicked down to her belt, and unclasped the lid from a cylinder, so that the lid stood open.

She she got closer towards him her music slowly lowered itself untill it was just the lightest of notes, then nothing. Jiyuu pulled the flute from her mouth, and slid it home in the odd case she had made for it. She then fixed the lid, hiding the flute from view in it's protective case. "Hello traveller. I didn't expect to meet many others out here," Jiyuu smiled slightly as she approached him, standing at a fair distance, but close enough to be easily heard. "I guess that's something neither of us expected. Let alone someone of your strength." Jiyuu knew he would be aware that she was a jinchuuriki. While she could hide her chakra completely, she had not bothered to do so while walking, considering the sheer unlikelyness of anyone being around her. As a result, he was certainly already aware that she was a jinchuuriki. Bijuu can sense others of their kind.

And that alone was a problem. In general, she kept her being a jinchuuriki a secret. Now another person was in the know. It irritated her. But she knew he was one as well, which was nice. But which one? And had he mastered it? She wasn't sure, and that worried her. What was he going to do? After all he now faced someone he knew was a jinchuuriki. He could probably figure out she wasn't a lowly genin easily, just by noticing the armor, considering genin rare if ever wore armor, let alone the sort that she wore. "Anything I can do for you?"

Standing in the field, facing the mysterious wanderer before him, Senzo watched as she stowed away her instrument and joined him in regular conversation. He had to concede that she was probably just as surprised to run into another, but her second comment was what peeked his interest. She could likely be commenting on his Oath, which was still securely in its sheath, or perhaps just his large amounts of Chakra. It wasn't entirely unlikely he would find someone who might note such power, though the idea of someone pointing it out was still a oddity to him. Perhaps the other flag that should of been raised is the fact that the traveller didn't seem surprised by his strength.

.

Either way, he made no big deal of it and continued on with his thoughts. "If you happen to know directions to any abandoned locations, I would be happy to learn of them," he explained simply enough. While curiosity drew him to this person, he still had to mind the mission he had signed on for. If this fellow traveller had heard of something, learning of it would save him time hunting down the location himself.

"BIJUU!"

The voice threw Senzo into shock, startling him out of his relaxed state and causing him, by reflex, to take on a defensive stance. He had been so content in the quiet that the voice was an unwelcome stranger to his mind. Try as he might though, his body was tightly held in place, his blood pumping and his senses cautiously on guard. A few breaths managed to loosen his stance, but the overall form was in place.

"Can you not smell the wretched Jinchuuriki? Do not let that foul prison keep such power."

Ignoring the words, Senzo kept quiet and held his stance in place. If what was said was true, attacking would be the farthest thing he would want.

Jiyuu took him in. He had odd white hair, which stuck up in all manner of directions. She wondered about the cause or reason for the style but dismissed it just as easily. He was notably taller than her. Had Jiyuu been an easily intimidated person that might have had an affect but as it was, there was no such problem for her. The wind blue out and ruffled her hair as it was flared up in the back. Jiyuu leaned her head backwards, bumping her neck slightly against the handle of a basic ninjato warn on her back. She usually forgot about it. It was not her main go-to in combat, not by far. But having a cutting weapon was very useful when she needed more than a kunai. In fact it often was forgotten compared to her other weaponry which saw much more use.

"If you happen to know directions to any abandoned locations, I would be happy to learn of them," This was very ironic considering she was heading to investigate the clames of some ruins. She imaged they were likely a village, if lucky a hidden village, from before the finger of god. But there may not even be ruins. You could never tell. She had seen bandits use such claims to draw explorers just so they could rob the ones that had the means to get there. Most explorers with the money to head to far out locations would be good targets. "ahh I heard of some ruins nearby and decided to head in the rumored direction, tis all I can say." But the words were barely out of her mouth before he seemed to suddenly get into a defensive stance.

Why was he being defensive? There was no way to tell. High ranking nina had all kinds of odd things and jutsu. For all she knew he had a radio in his ear and had received bad news. or perhaps he was from seiko or kumo, and was supposed to be investigating the ruins. That would not be surprising either. Many would pay a pretty penny for secrets from back then. A jutsu scroll detailing a long forgotten jutsu perhaps. Or maybe something more specific. Jiyuu stood, not tense or defensive, but pondering the now loosened stance. Why the defensiveness? Jiyuu braced herself for some kind of bad news. Like an attack for being headed in the same direction, or maybe he had news of something else on her way. However her bracing herself was more mentally and less physically. She never stood in such a way that she couldn't act, at least not normally.

PostSubject: Re: Jiyuu / Senzo Sandbox Fight   Sun Dec 15, 2013 11:07 pm

While the day had been peaceful and relaxing, it seemed that it had all been replaced with awkwardness. Senzo stood like some crazy fool, ready to fight when no foe had presented themselves. The stranger must think him a madman, seeing danger where none was present. Thinking of how his fellow traveller must be reacting to his outlandish behaviour drew his attention to the wanderer, and when he noticed her relatively relaxed state, his curiosity came back. He could chalk it up to experience or nerves of steel, but the thought did float back into his head that it was down to her status as a Jinchuuriki, with whatever Tailed Beast she had guiding her along.

"Kill her! Tear away the Beast lashed to her and let it free from her command!"

Senzo slightly shook his head, tiny dots of sweat forming on his forehead as he focused on the other person. He wanted to talk to her, ask her if she truly was one of the Jinchuuriki, if she had to put up with a second life inside oneself that had desires of its own. While he wanted to just that, his instincts told him otherwise, though at this point it became harder to tell the two apart. A mental battle had begun that Senzo wanted no part of, which is when his one foot slid forward, only slightly, preparing to move forward towards the woman.

"RIP HER TO SHREDS!"

Senzo held tight his form now, not wanting to make another move. If perhaps the person left, he might be able to keep himself in place long enough that she would become a fleeting memory.

Jiyuu stopped and begun to think. Why was he being so still? Was there a reason for that? What was the defensive stance about? She looked back adn could not see anything should could have said that might be offensive. Or perhaps there was ruins of a vilalge or something nearby, and his great grandparents or something had lived there? Perhaps people poking around ruins could be offensive then. Either way Jiyuu was confused, yet fairly relaxed. She wondered what was wrong. He was a jinchuuriki, but surely someone if his power had control over that. Being a sensor she could easily tell just how strong he was. Jiyuu stepped a large pace backward, still smiling and calm, yet a yard back. It wasn't much, nor was it a defensive stance, she was just farther away now. "Is something wrong? You seem a bit...on edge."

Jiyuu wasn't the kind of person who was one to worry. But she was also the kind to prepare. Jiyuu pondered the situation for a moment, before reaching into a utilities pouch and pulling out a scroll. From which she unsealed all the mighty powers of...2 bottles of water. "Thirsty?" Jiyuu smiled brightly, and tossed the bottle to him, a light toss but one that would, should he not move or something unforeseen happen, would likely hit his hand. She assumed he was well able to catch something aimed directly at his hand. The very idea of someone as strong as him not being able to catch was highly amusing. "I make an effort to carry tons of camping supplies, I have enough water to keep a battalion of shinobi well hydrated, if you worry about taking it." Jiyuu stowed the camping scroll away.

And watched as his foot moved forward. Perhaps it was her, but this seemed still more defensive. But he had nothing to defensive about. "Perhaps he hasn't made friends with the bijuu. You remember the effects of such things." Jiyuu cringed internally. Yes she remembered. When he was six and bandits attacked her caravan, she recalled the way she was taken over by the 6 tails. She didn't rule it out, but it didn't seem most likely. There was no big threat here. Assuming he was a sensor he could well detect her chakra levels. And he surely knew she was a jinchuuriki, so yes just her presence was a threat. But her most aggressive action had been to offer him some water and a kind greeting. Perhaps it was something else. He could well be a criminal, and the presence of another ninja, let alone of her ability, scared him. That was possible.

It seemed that Senzo would not have an easy time of this, as the other Shinobi seemed more interested in staying in place then fleeing. She had to be confident in her skills to say the least, or woefully unaware of the circumstances. Senzo had to call to mind the fact that she was a Jinchuuriki though, and he was well aware of the power that the Bijuu held. His eyes focused on her as she dug out a scroll that produced two bottles, throwing one towards him. His hand darted out to catch the bottle, ripping it from the air with more force then really needed, then opened the top and guzzled the liquid down. Once he was done the bottle, he tossed it back and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

.

Taking a deep breath, Senzo was glad to have gotten a drink, as it helped distract him and calm him down. The situation had become much more stressful then he would of liked, and only wished that the strange could be on her way. "I have to ask," he began, wondering if she would be forward with him, "do you hold sealed within you a Bijuu? Are you a Jinchuuriki?" While the answer had already been made clear, he needed to know if they were on the same page. His next steps might very well hang on what she decides to answer him with.

"Why do you toy with your prey!"
