Time, twenty two hundred hours and fifty three minutes. Giriko noted this specific point in the back of his mind as he surveyed the scene. It had been almost a month since he had left the police force, before really getting his name known, but he had apparently turned enough heads and built up a big enough reputation for himself to cause the higher ups to call on him to execute their little training exercise. It made sense. Use the former police to make sure the new generation so to speak was up to the task and if he succeeded, Giriko was going to get paid and he had quite frankly gotten a little tired of being hungry. The boy set his five foot long sack on the roof next to him as he looked out from his rooftop perch through the murky night air to gaze at the target. It was a large, sprawling building, ten stories tall. It was an interesting building, that the police mainly used it to store things but it did serve an ancillary function that was truthfully its one big weakness as an impenetrable fortress. The fifth floor served as a command center of sorts and as such, it was the only part of the walls that had windows and rather large ones at that to be used to monitor the streets of the Donburi district. There were three access points total that Giriko knew about to get in. He could stroll through the front door, guns blazing, but given that he was not an exceptionally powerful or imposing individual in conjunction with it being a horrible idea normally, he was going to have to go another direction. The second access point was through the roof, which would normally fit his more subtle and stealth oriented tendencies but it was the tallest building in the area and Giriko didn't really feel like scaling the side of it to get there, especially since he'd risk being seen trying to crawl past the fifth floor. No, there was one entrance that he had in mind and thankfully, it got to be quite flashy.

Giriko hefted his bow before retrieving two arrows from the quiver. A bemused sigh escaped him as he gingerly threaded the arrows through two identical explosive tags. His orders did not restrict him from causing property damage so, he was going to do just that. The boy gently stood and lifted the bow and knocked the arrow, angling the tip down in to the alleyway between his perch and the building. He fired two arrows, one at each corner of the building, the metal tips embedding themselves frighteningly well in to the sides of the building as Giriko returned his bow to its holder and hefted the pack back over his shoulder. He'd have to time this just right, the explosive tags would explode in seven seconds. Steadying the load he was carrying, Giriko raised his arm and pointed the gauntlet contraption on his hand directly at a spot above the windowed fifth floor. A long tendril erupted out of the gauntlet and shot toward the wall, punching through the cinder and latching on. Taking a run, Giriko leaped off the side of the the building and swung, toward the building, his angle causing his feet to go straight through the glass. Simultaneously as he crashed in to the building, two explosions would simultaneously strike the base of the building, rattling and scaring all the non-militant personnel in attendance. For the time being, the fifth floor was relatively unguarded and only two of the patrolmen were there. As they quickly moved to try and apprehend the intruder, they unfortunately found themselves far too outmatched against a Shinobi opponent. As if he was dancing, he evaded their strikes before delivering two, succinct strikes to their jaws, the concussive force knocking them unconscious. Giriko assessed the situation for the moment, hoping that his diversion down below masked his entrance and kept them busy. He was in the clear for the moment and as he looked over at the door to the stairs, he recalled that the diamond he was sent to steal was on the ninth floor. The quicker he got there while they were confused and disoriented, the better.

Operation: Make Them Look Stupid

Guess who wasn't getting any sleep tonight?

That's right, me. And I ain't happy about it. An ostentatiously pink-haired female mused to herself as she sat forlorn within a dimly lit room with her two companions, Todo and Chuck. Todo, to all those who were not familiar with the chestnut colored flying squirrel that followed this female around, was an ever faithful pet to Vivian Levoule, who's looks could kill with cuteness. He had stubby little black paws and a lighter brown patch of fur over his stomach, and he could be heard skittering around in the corner of the godforsaken room they occupied. Chuck on the other hand, was more of a one night stand, and also a cheap joke more than anything else. To be as frank as possible, Chuck was the name Vi gave to the diamond she was assigned to protect this very night, and the primary reason for her being grumpy. She had been sitting, watching the crystal in its glass case for the past three hours with only beef jerky to get by, and it was agonizing. What was worse was that this was probably just another of the Police Force's tests. She knew that something would happen eventually, and that meant there would be no snoozing through it because chances were, the moment she dozed off is when they'd radio in their court jester to smack her over the head and tell her that she'd failed yet again. Vi's test results were hilariously pitiful, for the record.

If this was indeed just another test (And Vi did not have a doubt in her mind saying otherwise), then they were sure taking their sweet time starting it. She was all out of beef jerky, Todo was losing his mind in the depths of the room, and Chuck was getting on her nerves. There was a part of her just storing up adrenaline for the moment she heard the bells and whistles, hoping for something to punch and break so that the insomnia would be worth it; she'd cross her fingers in these gauntlets if she could. Then, as if on queue, Vi heard an explosion residing from outside and downward. The bass of the aftershocks resounded through the infrastructure of the multi-story building she was in, rattling the paintings on the walls and causing the tables and chairs to shake briefly. It was sudden, quick, and very out of place; exactly the signal she was waiting for. Vi grabbed the edge of the table she was sitting at and unceremoniously flipped it across the room as she stood from her seat, proclaiming, "Finally!" Subsequently, she strode to one of the wall length windows that provided a view into the night, stepping right up to it and trying to get a good look at what was happening down below. All she could see out of the ordinary was a stream of smoke, beginning several floors down at least.

She turned around, zooming right in on a door on the far wall. Said door led to a set of stairs that was the only way up to towering building aside of scaling the outside. Judging by the explosion, he was already inside. That'd be Vi's guess, and appropriately she would walk over to that door, dragging the table she flipped upside down along with as she made her way there. She had a rough idea of how she would greet the invader, but for that to work this door needed to be bigger. No problem! Vi would ball her giant metal hand into a giant metal fist, and smash through the wall bordering the door with reckless abandon. In a matter of seconds, there was a wreckage of metal and wood on the ground, and just enough room for the table to scrape through and onto the top of the staircase. She slid it over the ledge just enough for the poor piece of furniture to teeter dangerously, before setting her foot on the safe end to hold it in place. If everything worked out right, this mysterious intruder wouldn't see what Vi had set up until he rounded the corner of the zig-zagging stairs. She heard the steps; someone rushing up and most definitely her way. Now Vi just had to be patient.

Lo and behold, when he finally made it to the last set of steps, he'd find the pink-haired female surfing a large table down them at high speeds. She'd have kicked off with a silent smirk, hoping to crush him with a mass of wood twice her weight and size. She'd jump off at the last second, and her momentum would carry her forward a little bit to attempt to land on top of everything after it crashed and broke. She come down punching, aiming jabs at the face of this intruder with the sheer hope of dishing out any amount of pain she could. It really was a scene of chaos, as the plan was meant to incur. It was a bet on rushing the enemy before he could compose himself, and hopefully Vi would get the easy way out and finally pass one of her stupid tests.

As Giriko stormed up the steps, reaching the seventh floor, the boy reached behind him in to his rather large sack and pulled out an article of clothing. He already had the requisite pair of pants donned and from his sack he retrieved his old police uniform. Outside of being somewhat dirty, it was identical to the myriad of other uniforms the officers were wearing. It was an advantage he had over his old employers and it was one he was going to utilize to its fullest. The boy threw the large sack in to the corner of the stair well of the seventh floor as he quickly donned his uniform shirt and buttoned it up as he raced up the stairs as he fitted the last button in to place, he heard a crash from the floor above him, his feet still moving up the flight of stairs to the eighth floor. There were two floors left, floor nine which housed the diamond and floor ten which provided his exit to the roof. The crash most likely, from the sound it made, had occurred on floor nine. He wasn't sure if he was the only one who had been hired for this job, there might be another burglar involved. The other explanation was that someone was a remarkably unsubtle police officer who had as little respect for their property as he did. By his guess, someone had just blown through a wall, if he had to guess it was probably with an explosive given the kind of force that'd need. That simply led him to believe that they had, in fact, hired someone else to steal the diamond, police wouldn't be setting off explosives in their own building.

He would soon find that he was wrong and thankfully, he was a terrific actor. As he turned the corner and saw the big metal fists that had most likely generated his previously believed explosion, a look of utter terror and dread came across his face. Of course, it wasn't especially hard to be terrified of the woman that was currently surfing her way down the hallway at him but Giriko really managed to sell his fright. As she had detached herself from the table and let it crash toward him, Giriko jumped up in far less graceful a fashion than he would normally and let the table clip the tips of his toes. He didn't want to get in to any fights, not yet, not until he could confirm the diamond's location and acquire it. Then he'd be in the position to fight his way out if necessary. For now, he needed to keep up the facade of being a woe inducing, incompetent police officer until he could gain the upper hand and as was probably lucky for him, the girl who was flying at him didn't exactly seem to be the most...intellectual type. As the table clipped the tips of his toes, Giriko would fall face first down toward the ground, his mind racing as he established the trajectory her momentum would take her. As the first fist came down, Giriko's arms were madly pedaling forward and scooting him under her sailing body and behind her, just enough that her first punch would crash in to the floor. The young boy quickly tried to speak to her, hoping to deter further violence. "W.w.w.waaait, there were explosions downst..." Apparently his deterrence wouldn't be possible as his foe seemed to just keep punching as he was forced to, rather inelegantly, roll away from the second massive fist coming his way. "They sent me to check on the...." Another fist cut him off again as he scampered away and down the hall, frantically screaming "Bad touch! Bad touch!", his face now soaked with fear induced tears as he pushed himself hard against the wall, terror painted all over his features as he managed to damped the collar of his uniform. "I I I I I dun wanna dieeeeeeeeeeeee"
